In 2 Samuel 9, David invites Mephibosheth, a forgotten and broken man, to sit at the kings table. Through the stories of Saul, Jonathan, David, and Mephibosheth, we see four different postures of the heart toward grace. The gospel reminds us of this truth: grace gave you a seat, and love grabs a seat for another.
